Mike e Doug Starn
In 2004 Tramontano invited Mike and Doug Starn to Naples to discover for themselves the lure and mystery of the Cappella del Principe di Sansevero (Prince Sansevero Chapel).
The two New York artists began research on the “anatomic machines,” two skeletons perfectly preserved in the chapel for two-hundred and fifty years, in which Prince Raimondo de Sangro reconstructed the blood circulation system and internal organs of a man and a woman.
Using photos and video takes from inside the skeletons, the Starns are creating a unique work made out of optic fibers and sophisticated equipment that Tramontano will present in Naples and New York in 2009.
