10 Bags In 10 Years
“A bag as a song, as a great rock song. Songs about women, songs that strongly influenced the world revolution brought about by rock music during the Sixties and Seventies.”
In 2007, inspired by a Davide de Blasio’s idea, the Tramontano artisans designed the Rock Ladies Collection. Since 1865, the Neapolitan trademark is manufacturing and designing bags and leather accessories extremely popular among celebrities all over the world, fascinated by its style.
This project covers 10 years, with ten types of limited edition bags, one each year, 250 bags for each type, all numbered and signed. Bags to wear and collect. The ancient Neapolitan firm will produce a bag each year and name it after a song that influenced rock music from the ‘60s on.
Tramontano will dedicate the Rock Ladies Collection to the following songs: Sweet Jane (Lou Reed), Kimberly (Patti Smith), Roxanne (Police), Angie (Rolling Stones), Layla (Eric Clapton), Lola (Kinks), Sweet Mary (Janis Joplin), Rosalita (Bruce Springsteen), Foxy Lady (Jimi Hendrix), Sheena (Ramones).
